Reactions As New Naira Notes Unveiled
Reactions have continue to trail the unveiling of the redesigned naira notes after President Muhammadu Buhari launched the new banknotes during the Federal Executive council (FEC) meeting today November 23, 2022 at the State House in Abuja.
The redesigned naira notes as proposed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) are #200, #500, and #1000 denominations.
President Muhammadu Buhari expresses delight that the redesigned currencies are locally produced by the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting (NSPM) PLC.
However, Governor of CBN, Godwin Emefiele listed the benefits of the redesigned naira notes to include enhanced security, greater durability, attractiveness and promotion of rich cultural heritage.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to the micro-blogging site ‘Twitter‘ to react to the new redesigned noted unveiled.
